The International Scientific Conference on ‘'Management of Technologies - Step to Sustainable Production'' (MOTSP 2011) will take place in Bol, Island Brac from June 08-12, 2011.

MOTSP 2011 conference are an occasion for researchers, scientists, engineers, and technologist from a wide variety of fields to come together to share in their sinergy of management of technology and sustainable production.

We assume management of technology, stimulation of inovation, invention and transfer of technology as some of the important challenges of the developed countries and countries of transition. Technology is considered as all knowledge, products, processes, tools, methods and applied systems in production of goods or services.

With the climate having gone through drastic changes since the mid 20th century, it is critical to cut down greenhouse gas emissions to less than half of the current level to stabilize the climate. Inevitably, there will be accelerated increases in efforts that bring together the wisdom of international industrial and academic communities for the purpose of making shifts to sustainable living, including the establishment of sustainable production through the cyclical and multi-step use of resources hand-in-hand with a departure from dependence on scare resources, and the development of a zero-emission social infrastructure through promoting the use of renewable energy.

There are some of challenges which are very important for decision support in strategical and operative consideration some companies and goverment bodies. How can we include inside of product development requests of sustainable manufacturing (LCA, LCM)? How can we stimulate with proper knowledge and EU, CRO/SLO legislation 'green production'? How can we decrease possibility for location of 'dirty industry' and increase support of the community, media and increase of awareness of state structures. All of these facts are additional challenges in process of moving in EU and use EU funds. Papers run the gamut from highly technical subjects that involve both theory and practice to non-technical areas that include sustainability, psychology, sociology, philosophy, and law.
